Kmart fans have been raving about the $15 Microwave Toastie Maker for weeks, praising the cheap and efficient device for its super quick ability to give you a tasty sandwich. Not only does the toastie maker give you speedy results when it comes to making the perfect sandwich, it has also been used by some keen shoppers to cook bacon, rissoles, and chicken tenders in a mere matter of minutes.

Now another Kmart shopper has uploaded a new recipe hack to a Facebook fan group where she's managed to make gourmet-looking pastries in just a matter of minutes. To create the savoury dish, the author said she "cooks frozen chopped spinach in olive oil with garlic and onions and adds fresh ricotta cheese", saying the pastry was ready in four minutes.

"It’s either the best or the worst gadget ever cos I won’t stop eating carbs," the post was captioned. "[It's] great for pastries too!"

"I was thinking of trying a pastry dessert one time," one person said, with someone else saying "Here comes Nutella and strawberries tonight for this house."

"This post is going to make my belly hate me even more," one person joked. "This belly isn't coping with all the carb overloading but I'm prepared to test it with this one."

Other people came in with their own cooking tips. "Also cut the top off a roll, dig out a little then fill with baked beans and put top back on... no mess, no falling out sides," one person shared. "I heated up a meat pie in mine today, nice and crispy," someone else said.

"I'm loving everyone's uses for this handy little toastie thing. Definitely worth packing a set for travel," someone commented, while one dessert fan shared an enticing idea."Try cookie dough it’s ultimate," they said.

"This is why I have refrained from buying. I see endless savoury and sweets carb loading," one person said.

"I’ve never eaten so much bread!" another person said. "I eat toasted sandwiches about once a month. Since I bought this I have had three in a week," someone else shared.

Other people however have previously expressed concern over the product and cooking methods involved.

"It's alarming to me that people are not questioning the health safety of the materials/chemicals in this toastie machine, and the heating factor," someone else commented. "It may seem cool and help with convenience, to me, it's not worth my longterm health."
