Santa better start checking his list because Kmart has just dropped a preview of its 2024 Black Friday sale and there are plenty of Christmas bargains to be had. Homewares, tech, beauty buys and toys that let you go big without breaking the bank, are all part of this year’s Black Friday collection.

While most retailers offer discounts on their existing product range, Kmart’s already low prices don’t leave much margin for the eye-popping markdowns we’ve come to expect from a Black Friday sale. Instead, they’re celebrating the sales event with a special curated collection that includes a mix of limited-edition Anko items and discounts from other brands you wouldn’t normally find at Kmart.

This year, that includes a 32-inch electric guitar and amp for $99, an inflatable $69 backyard slide and pool set that will get no shortage of use over summer and a $59 rainbow light-up floor mirror that will be the envy of many a tween girl.

For those who have the space, there’s also a $249 Pilates reformer machine, which is an absolute bargain as they normally range in price from about $450 to $2,800, and this $399 inflatable spa which is perfect for a pop-up spa party.

Then there are the non-Kmart brand deals like this De’Longhi espresso machine for $99 instead of $235, and a Silicone LED face and neck mask which has been marked down to $155 from $489.

A Homedics massage gun makes a great gift for $39, down from $99.95, and Singer sewing machines are also on offer for $169 instead of the usual $299, for those who like to take fashion into their own hands. Refurbished iPhone 12s are also available for $469.

The Black Friday collection can be previewed in full from today and will be available to purchase in store and online from 8am on Thursday, November 28. OnePass members will have early access to the sale from 8pm to midnight on Wednesday, November 27, and the sale will run until December 1 or until stock sells out.

"OnePass is currently in the Black Friday sales for $20 for the year," says Aussie mum Brit Rogerson in a TikTok. "It is a really good investment especially if you're on a budget."

This is a 50% saving on the annual membership, which is usually $40.

"This OnePass gets you five times the Flybuys points when you shop and store or click and collect," she says in another video. "It gets you 365 days returns throughout the year. So you can literally buy something at the start of the year and return it before Christmas. And you can also get express click and collect and free delivery from most places, I think."

Aussies are expected to drop a whopping $6.7 billion over the Black Friday sales period with the cost of living crisis making this year’s sales a particularly big drawcard. Many consumers will be taking advantage of the discounts to do their Christmas shopping and to purchase big-ticket items, here we’ve listed a few other retailers with Black Friday sales worth exploring.

DIY Blinds

One larger purchase renovators will surely take advantage of is the 20 percent Black Friday discount at DIY Blinds.

The offer extends to all curtains, blinds and shutters on their website, including motorised blinds which can be controlled via an app on your phone or programmed to open and close automatically at times convenient to you.

Comfort Club members save 30% off site wide at Pillow Talk, which means you can stock up on your Christmas entertaining needs for less! The Sundays by Pillow Talk range is designed to elevate outdoor living, offering everything you need to unwind and enjoy the warmer weather.

JB Hi-Fi

If you've had your eye on a great TV to watch those Christmas flicks on, JB Hi-Fi has got you covered. There are great prices on big ticket tech with some LG and Samsung TVs being discounted by over $1,000, while Ecovacs are half price and Apple Watches are 25 percent off.

Lavazza

Coffee lovers know all to well how much buying a daily cup of coffee adds up to (spoiler: more than $2000!) so Black Friday is the perfect time to invest in your very own coffee machine. Lavazza is offering 30% sitewide (excluding Kits & Bundles) so you can save over $100 on one of the adorable Modo Mio Smeg machines to elevate both your caffeine fix and your kitchen aesthetic!

Of course, once you've got your coffee machine, you need some seriously good coffee! That's where Melbourne brand Thieves Coffee comes in. The popular subscription service is offering 20 percent off all gift subscriptions and 10 per cent off

Plus, there’s a 10 percent store-wide discount on everything (except Moccamaster Select Machines and individual coffee bags). You can even save up to 80 per cent on select items.
