In a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot shared to the royal family's official Instagram account, Charles and Camilla looked at each other affectionately and laughed as they posed for pics.

The pair stood in front of a stunning backdrop of spring flowers, with Camilla dressed in a beige and white dress for the occasion. Charles, for his part, wore a blue pinstripe suit and a neutral tie which seemed to coordinate with his wife's outfit.

Fans couldn't get over the sweet interaction.

"Their majesties are so in love 😍," one person gushed.

"There is something about these two that I just love.❤️🥰 Please don't @ as to why I shouldn't. I know it all but I still like them . The end x," declared a second commenter.

"If the Queen had let them marry in the first place there never would have been such drama. Clearly love conquers all 🙌," another Instagram user pointed out, with someone agreeing, "It's good to see that after almost 20 years of marriage, these two are still so in love . They waited long enough to be together they deserve to be happy 💞💕."

"This, this here: this is what "in love" means. 🤍 Congratulations, dear Charles and Camilla. Your love has truly proved the test of time," raved yet another fan, as somebody else called Camilla the "woman [Charles] should have married in the 1970's."

As Town & Country reported, Charles did indeed meet Camilla in the early 1970s when he was just 21 years old, at which point "he lost his heart to her almost immediately." However, Camilla was in the middle of an on-again, off-again relationship with Andrew Parker Bowles at the time and was not considered a suitable choice for future queen. Charles was apparently devastated when Camilla married Andrew. He famously married Diana Spencer in 1981, but Charles didn't forget about Camilla; on the contrary, the pair went on to have an affair which caused a huge scandal for Buckingham Palace. Diana and Charles divorced in 1996.

Nearly 10 years later, Charles and Camilla tied the knot in 2005 in a civil ceremony — and while Queen Elizabeth was not present, she did approve of the marriage.
