Kim Kardashian’s Hairstylist Cut Off ‘7 Inches’ of Her Hair to Give Her the Flipped-Up Bob: ‘No, It’s Not a Wig’

Kim Kardashian’s hairstylist is setting the record straight.

On Sunday, Feb. 2, Chris Appleton opened up about Kardashian’s new flipped-up bob hairstyle, which she showed off Feb. 1 while wearing a backless Balmain gown at the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala in Los Angeles.

“Love this new chop on Kim, we got 7 inches off her hair! (No it’s not a wig before u start lol),” the celebrity hairstylist, 41, said of the SKIMS founder, 44, in a new Instagram post featuring a solo shot of Kardashian, a photo of them together and a snap of her chopped-off hair on the ground.

The mom of four initially debuted shorter hair in December, when she posted holiday photos of herself with the dramatic hair transformation.

The Christmas photos with her kids feature her blunt bob instead of the flipped-up bob that she sported for the February gala.

Before the back-to-back bob looks, the businesswoman rocked a ’90s-era hairstyle, complete with high volume, large waves and swooping bangs at the SKIMS holiday party on Dec. 19.

Then, the reality star sported a tousled blonde do in the music video for her cover of “Santa Baby,” which came out on Dec. 23.

Now, with seven inches of real hair chopped off, Kardashian is committed to the flipped-up bob cut — which hovers around chin length and is styled in a C-shape — at least for now.
