Kim Kardashian’s brand responds to TikToker’s brutally honest shapewear review
A TikToker who posted a brutally honest review of Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand SKIMS ended up receiving a bundle of free goodies from the company following her unsatisfactory shopping experience.
Adria Barich, from Reno, Nev., got the brand’s attention with a Jan. 23 TikTok, in which she tried on the popular mid-rise brief.

Although the garment is meant to “enhance your curves,” according to SKIMS’s website, Barich instead compared her final appearance to that of “the Pillsbury Doughboy.”
The hilarious video quickly went viral with over 11.3 million views and 17,500 comments — and eventually, even the brand took notice.
Barich told Insider that on Feb. 3, a representative from SKIMS DMed her on Instagram to apologize for her experience and to offer her “some additional SKIMS styles and options to try,” adding, “we’re confident you will love them.”
According to Barich, SKIMS sent her its $62 sculpting bodysuit, its $32 sculpting bra, and its $36 sculpting high-waist brief instead of the mid-waist style — but she still wasn’t necessarily thrilled by the products.
“I got a small/medium in my other video,” Barich said in a recent TikTok while modeling the new high-waist brief. “This one is a large/extra-large, which I have some issues with because I’m 150 pounds and five-foot seven, so I should not be a large/extra-large.”
“It’s like my midsection is trying to escape,” she joked. “This one is still giving me the double butt cheek, which isn’t what I meant when I said I wanted more a**. It’s not giving me the shape that I would want.”
However, she did add that the garment was very comfortable and seemed to be made with a unique fabric that “moves with you.”
