Kim Cattrall reveals devastating news days before Christmas
Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall has shared some devastating personal news just days before Christmas. Sharing a series of photos on Instagram, Kim announced her mother Shane Cattrall had died aged 93.
The photos show Kim smiling alongside her mother and the pair having fun together throughout the years, with one throwback snap showing Shane laughing while looking at Kim, who is wearing graduation garb.
Another snap shows Shane resting on a chair while Kim hugs her knees as she sits on the ground.
"Rest in peace Mum," the caption said along with a heart emoji.
Kim's last post about her mum was back in May to celebrate Mother's Day. In a picture posted on Instagram, the Queer As Folk star wrapped her mother in a hug and captioned the snap, "93 years young".
Many shared messages of support for Kim on her post announcing her mother's death.

"Kim. Sending you the biggest warmest surround sound of love. What a lucky mum to have you as a daughter," musician Joan as Police Woman wrote.
"I am so sorry for your loss. I loved your mum and her sisters in Who Do You Think You Are. I hope her passing was peaceful. My thoughts are with you all," a fan said.
"Such a beautiful photo of you and your mum. My biggest fear is knowing my mum's getting older and I one day will feel that unbearable pain of losing her. I can't imagine [the] pain you're going though. I'm so sorry for your loss," another added.
Shane's death comes less than five years after Kim's brother Christopher died by suicide. He was found five days after he went missing in Canada in 2018.
