Harley raises her lefthand ring finger to display her new bling, which appears to be a red gemstone instead of a traditional diamond. The next picture shows the actress and musician gasping and covering her mouth in surprise as Zajur, 29, gets down on one knee.
Other sweet shots include Harley kissing her fiancé in his arms, and two celebratory engagement cakes.

Harley — an animal advocate who has even made her father go vegan — wore blue jeans and a short-sleeve shirt that read, "If you want to save animals stop eating them." Meanwhile, Zajur wore a long-sleeve flannel shirt and gray jeans for the occasion.
Kevin, 54, shared his daughter's engagement news on Instagram shortly after she did.

Austin Zajur and Harley Quinn Smith"I’m udderly excited to announce that @harleyquinnsmith and @austinzajur got engaged today!" Kevin quipped alongside several engagement photos.
He continued: "No bull: under the guise of an average afternoon at @farmsanctuary, Austin surprised the s--- out of my only begotten daughter when he dropped to one knee and popped the question right there at one of Harley’s favorite places on earth!"
The Tusk director thanked the photographers who captured the surprise and shared how he and his wife, Jennifer Schwalbach Smith, reacted to the news. Kevin and Jennifer tied the knot in 1999 and welcomed their only child on June 26 that same year.

The pair most recently worked together with Kevin in his latest film, The 4:30 Movie.
Zajur, who is an actor like his fiancée, starred as protagonist Brian David. The semi-autobiographical story closely mirrors that of a May 1986 afternoon spent at a New Jersey movie theater, during Kevin's teenage years.

Harley Quinn Smith and Kevin SmithAhead of the movie's release, Kevin told PEOPLE he originally wrote it in mind with his daughter to play the role of Melody Barnegat, the love interest of Zajur's character, but she turned it down.
"She's like, 'I love that you want to include me and I love working with you, but the idea of playing your high school girlfriend, I'm just bumping into it,' " Kevin explained. "She's like, 'You don't understand what it's like to be your daughter. As wonderful as it is in real life, online, it's a lot of nepo-baby s---.' "
Harley — who has previously had starring roles in many of her father's films, including Yoga Hosers and Jay and Silent Bob Reboot — chose to instead have a small cameo in The 4:30 Movie as Sister Sugar Walls, the "hooker nun" in a fictional trailer that plays at the movie theater in the film.
"I love that this kid is strong enough to be like, 'You're one of the people in this world I love the most, but I could still say no to you, even if you're my father,' " Kevin told PEOPLE of Harley.
"That made me happy not just as a filmmaker, but as a father, as a human being who's like, 'Oh my God, the kid's already better than me' — a generation removed, and she's learned to kind of put herself first, and not in that selfish way, but [to] protect your head and heart," the director said.
