KENNY GONZALES: Kenneth R. Gonzalez. I go by the_perfect_pair on Instagram.

It's no secret my favorite shoe is the White Cement 3. That shoe screams Michael Jordan to me. It screams my childhood-- the shoe I couldn't have growing up.

We grew up not wanting for anything, but I didn't grow up in a spoiled life. I grew up spoiled with love, but not with money and crazy stuff like that.

'92 would kind of be the year where I received two Jordans from my brother, one to rock and, as they say, one to stock. And at that point, we just started amassing shoes. And before he passed away, he was very excited to see what we kind of built with this Perfect Pair stuff. And he was overjoyed with the fact that we were able to create a lane with sneakers.

So as you know, the infamous sneaker room of Kenny G. Always with my brother's 14 to start it off, the Cherry 14s. To many is how many I have now. So over 2,500 shoes. We've got the Tour 4s on the feet. This would be where they are kept.

A slogan I came up with is "wear your shoes." I collect just for me and my foot so that I can actually wear the shoes.

That's not new. [LAUGHS] I don't know anybody that's still wearing Mocha 3s in 2000.

So there would be a few shoes that I'd buy just to collect. All the Air Max stuff I don't wear, but I have them.

I definitely know my history when it comes to these shoes. I believe I and Jordan brand are the only people to have these sneakers. To me, the 11 is one of the most iconic shoes that Jordan got to use back in the day.

Each shoe is specifically made for a certain reason. And I geek out on some of those reasons.

Dave's Quality Meats-- he got a collaboration with Nike, and he was able to design his own shoes. And he took hints from bacon, and he made a sneaker out of it.

I like knowing the people who make the shoes. I like knowing the process.

The stitching on these shoes is just-- it's perfect.

Materials are a big deal to me. Real stingray, real snake skins-- the shoe is just guts.

I've flown people from across the pond to bring me sneakers, so whatever has to happen. There's no one more dedicated than me, I promise you. I will go anywhere just to go get the shoes.

We are at Solestage on Fairfax in LA. I've come to pick up the Friends & Family Wahlburger Force. And I've been looking at that shoe for about a year. It's been in the shop for a little bit.

What's good, my guy?

SAAM MOBASSERI: How are you?

KENNY GONZALES: I'm wonderful. How about yourself?

SAAM MOBASSERI: Doing well. Long time, no see.

I'd say 2012 or 2013. I met Kenny just on the sneakers circuit, just knowing him. He's such a big collector. Him and I kind of wear the same size, so I always hit him up for sneakers or stuff like that.

KENNY GONZALES: Butter, butter.

SAAM MOBASSERI: Yes. They're amazing.

KENNY GONZALES: That's all I've been saying about this shoe is butter.

SAAM MOBASSERI: Mark Wahlberg owns a restaurant called the Wahlburgers with his family, so that's where the shoe comes from. And Mark is a huge Jordan collector, so he ended up doing a collaboration with Jordan brand. And they did only 23 pairs for being Jordan 23.

KENNY GONZALES: To me, that's the cool part, is that he got to do a shoe with a burger joint that he designed. So it's dope. I can't wait to wear 'em tomorrow, to be honest with you.

When you look on the walls and you see pretty much every shoe you have sitting inside your own sneaker collection, it's like a battle finally won. It's the ending to something, so it makes you feel good.

- (RAPPING) Yes. Yeah.

KENNY GONZALES: To be honest with you, I'll probably do it my whole entire life. I will never stop, you know? So it's one of those deals where it's ever evolving. It's always changing. So it gives you a good taste in your mouth. But if it becomes you're trying to do this just outshine the next guy, you've lost all reasons why you're collecting sneakers.

My advice to people trying to get into the sneaker game would be collect what you like, buy what you like, show what you like. As long as there's passion behind what you do, I'm with it.
