Kelly Rutherford Poses with Son Hermés, 18, During Rare Outing at Paris Fashion Week

Kelly Rutherford and her teen son Hermés Giersch stepped out in style this weekend as they attended Paris Fashion Week together.

On Saturday, March 8, the mother-son pair were photographed taking in the Elie Saab Womenswear Fall/Winter show at the Palais de Tokyo as part of Paris Fashion Week.

Rutherford, 56, could be seen wearing a glittery gold embroidered midi-length gown which featured sheer, wide-cut sleeves and gold sequins arranged in a floral pattern. The Gossip Girl star also paired her dress with brown sunglasses, white pumps and an understated matte pink lip, and tucked her blonde hair behind her ears.

Hermés, 18, sported a classic white button-down shirt with navy blue trousers and navy and white sneakers. He paired his clean-cut look with sunglasses of his own.

The duo's appearance marks their latest since stepping out for Couture Fashion Week in Paris in January. The occasion marked one of Rutherford's first returns to the public eye with her son since her lengthy legal battle with her ex-husband, German businessman Daniel Giersch, ended 10 years ago.

Appearing at two different events in January, Rutherford wore a black long-sleeved dress paired with platform heels and a handbag for the Chanel show, and she sported a floral-print dress for the Rahul Mishra show. Her son wore a dark suit and a white shirt, paired with black dress shoes.

Earlier this week, Hermés and his actress mom also stopped by the TIME Womenswear show, where Rutherford wore a gray, two-piece suit set which featured a knee-length skirt, a slouchy blazer with a matching belt tied around her waist, a brown leather back and white pumps. Her son sported his usual white shirt and navy dress pants, this time paired with a black jacket and white sneakers to match.

Rutherford shares Hermés and daughter Helena, 16, with ex-husband Daniel. When the former couple split in 2009, they entered into an intense custody battle, during which Rutherford spent nearly $2 million in legal fees.

Following the public split, the mom-of-two retreated from the spotlight and made Monaco her permanent home.

Rutherford reflected on the tumultuous legal battle while speaking with PEOPLE in an exclusive interview in February 2024, and revealed how she’s in a much better place nearly 15 years after it all started.

"Yes, it was a challenging time. It was a heartbreaking time. But I focus on the good most of the time, I really do," the Scream 3 actress said. "I'm very thankful of where we are. I have a great relationship with my kids."
