Kelly Reilly Says“ Yellowstone” 'Changed Me' Following Series Finale as She Reacts to Spinoff Rumors: 'Whatever the Future Holds'
The actress is reportedly signed on for a 'Yellowstone' spinoff series with her onscreen husband Cole Hauser
Kelly Reilly is saying goodbye to Yellowstone — but not without tissues!
The English-born actress paid tribute to the show, as well as creator Taylor Sheridan, in a heartfelt message shared to Instagram on the day of the series finale on Sunday, Dec. 15. She shared how she's currently “deep in another role at the moment” in the U.K. but still wanted to acknowledge the Paramount Network drama and all it has meant to her.
“Whatever the future holds this is the ending of the show we have been making for the past 7 years,” Reilly, 47, began her post. “Words cannot convey how I feel about the people I got to work and create with over the seasons.”
"I have made true life long friends. The support from the crew and the trust and dedication of the cast. The words I got to say and the woman I got to inhabit. It changed me. It lit me up. It challenged me in every way possible and I will forever be grateful for it [...] For Taylor Sheridan who took a chance on me and continued to write her in ways I got to feel on fire as an actor. Thank you Taylor.”

“Thank you [to] the audience we made it for,” she concluded. “For being on this journey with us. We really cared about making something special for you all … Enjoy tonight, get your tissues and your 🥃 ✌️.”
Reilly played Beth Dutton on the show, the wildcard yet fiercely loyal daughter of John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner. Her storylines involved deep vulnerability, immense grit, and intense personal grudges that often got her character into trouble with both her family and the law.

“There’s so much to her,” Reilly said of Beth in a November interview with CBS Mornings. “She’s not just one thing. She’s like, she’s like 10 women in one. We know her as [...] insane and fierce, but there is such a deep soul and incredible depth of heart and love and devotion to her family.”
“I love her, “ Reilly continued. “I mean, I can infuriated. But I love her.”
And it seems we won’t have to say goodbye to Beth Dutton just yet. Reilly and her onscreen husband, Cole Hauser, have reportedly signed on for a Yellowstone spinoff series, according to a Dec. 11 report in Deadline. While little is currently known about the project, it will apparently take place in the same world as the original series and will likely feature several of the same characters.

The final season of Yellowstone, which aired in two parts, caused controversy among fans when it was announced that Costner would not be returning for the show’s final episodes — prompting many to wonder how show creatives would handle the fate of the Dutton family patriarch.
Viewers learned of John’s fate within moments of the season 5, part 2 premiere on Nov. 10 when it was revealed that Dutton died of a gunshot wound to the head.
While show creator Taylor Sheridan told The Hollywood Reporter he was “disappointed” in Costner’s decision to bow out before the show’s final episodes, Costner has maintained that he always made the series a major priority. "To insinuate anything else would be wrong,” he told Deadline in May.

The star spoke to PEOPLE about the situation in June 2024, noting, "I was disappointed that nobody on their side ... ever stepped up to defend what it was I actually did for them. There came a moment where I thought, 'Wow, when is somebody going to say something about what I have done versus what I haven't done?' "
Previous Yellowstone can be streamed on Peacock.
