Kelly Clarkson Faces John Legend in Epic 'Name That Tune' Redemption Moment

Kelly Clarkson is having a moment of comeuppance — and it's one she's been waiting on for quite some time.

Back in 2022, The Kelly Clarkson Show host duked it out against Anne Hathaway for a game of "Sing That Name That Tune" on the hit daytime series. At the time, Anne smoked Kelly by being able to recognize the melody to Kelly's song "Since U Been Gone" before the singer figured it out for herself. It was a shocking moment for audiences to watch, and it made many wonder if that would ever happen again.

Luckily, Kelly managed to have the ultimate redemption moment when John Legend appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show to promote The Voice on February 17. Once again, Kelly was in the hot seat as she and John played "Sing That Name That Tune" with American Ninja Warrior star Matt Iseman moderating the segment. When Matt motioned for Kelly's house band to play a track for Kelly and John to guess, they once again played the chords to "Since U Been Gone." But unlike last time, Kelly realized what was playing — and she made sure to say it before John the chance to do so.

"'Since U Been Gone! That's me, that's me!" she screamed in a clip posted on YouTube. "The melody in which I sang my own song, because I was so excited, was so bad!"

"Kelly, you did avenge missing your own song." Matt added.

"Except I sang it completely wrong! But it's okay," Kelly responded.

Given how Kelly had an incredible moment of musical redemption on her own TV show, fans couldn't help but applaud her for it.

"I love how ecstatic Kelly figuring out her own song!" one person exclaimed in the comments. "Kelly wasn't gonna lose TWICE on her own epic song," another declared. "What a moment! Kelly Clarkson, Congratulations on your redemption!" a different viewer added.

Needless to say, we love to see a full circle moment!
