The Pirates of the Caribbean actress recently appeared on the Nov. 29 episode of The Graham Norton Show alongside Cher, Michael Fassbender, Josh Brolin and Jalen Ngonda. The Irish presenter asked the group for stories about some of their more interesting fan interactions, and Brolin revealed that he often gets asked about his role as Thanos in the Marvel universe.
Norton then turned to Knightley to ask if the movie that gets brought up to her the most by fans is Love Actually.
“Yeah, Love Actually is the one that people do the signs at me. Or rather, one in particular, I was in my mum’s car… it was this horrible yellow car, and I was really embarrassed being in it,” said Knightley.
She continued, noting that she was stuck in traffic next to a car full of construction workers who “did basically the entire scene from Love Actually with the [cards], which was kind of creepy and kind of sweet. A bit like the film, the scene in the film, it’s creepy and sweet at the same time. They were nice, I just couldn’t get away and we were very stuck in traffic.”
At that point, Cher chimed in to ask “were they following you for a long time?” to which Knightley replied, “no, we were just stuck, completely stuck in traffic, so they were next to us, I think probably for a good hour.”
Cher then asked “why did they happen to have the cards?” and Knightley responded, “actually, good point, I don’t… we were stuck there for a while, maybe they went out and bought the cards.”
