Keanu Reeves’s Stolen Rolex and More Watches Were Just Found by Police in Chile

Keanu Reeves just got his wrist candy back.

Police in Chile have found four of the actor’s watches a year after they were stolen from his California home, CNN reported. Chilean authorities confirmed that they recovered a $9,000 Rolex Submariner along with three additional timepieces in eastern Santiago during a raid on Saturday. According to the outlet, the dive watch was identified as the same Submariner that the movie star presented as a wrap gift to the stunt team on John Wick: Chapter 4; the band was inscribed with his first and last name, in addition to the message: “2021, JW4, thank you, The John Wick Five.”

Local police were working with U.S. officials to help link the stolen watches to Reeves when they discovered jewelry and “valuable” timepieces that belonged “to a famous actor who was victim of a robbery in Los Angeles in December 2023” this past weekend. Authorities have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection to the crime, per CNN.

At the time of last year’s incident, Reeves’s property in Hollywood Hills was burglarized by intruders wearing ski masks, the LA Times reported. The thieves allegedly accessed the house through the backyard and smashed a window in order to enter. Luckily, Reeves was not home during the break-in. That wasn’t the first time though that police were called to the actor’s pad for a robbery. In fact, the Matrix star had his home broken into twice before that in 2014.

Call it a case of life imitating art: The John Wick franchise kicks off when a retired hitman, played by Reeves, is targeted by burglars who break into his house, steal his car, and kill his dog. In the years since the four films were released, the cult-favorite series has grossed over $1 billion worldwide and became the basis of a new spinoff starring Ana de Armas, which is slated to premiere in 2025. While Reeves will reprise his role as the iconic assassin in the upcoming movie, fans are eager for a potential John Wick 5 thanks to the ambiguous ending of John Wick 4. “You can never say never,” Reeves said during a recent CBS News interview. “My knees right now are saying ‘I can’t do another John Wick.’ So my heart does but I don’t know if my knees can do it.”
