Katy Perry Shared Her Candid Reaction to Watching Taylor Swift Sing ‘Bad Blood’ at Her Sydney Eras Show

Travis Kelce wasn’t the only VIP getting fan attention at Taylor Swift’s first Sydney show. Her friend (and former rival) Katy Perry also attended, and Katy shared a carousel from her time at Taylor's show. The two stars got a selfie together. She sang “You Belong With Me” with Rita Ora. But perhaps the most interesting video Katy included was her reaction to Taylor performing “Bad Blood.” That track sparked rumors that they were feuding almost 10 years ago. Katy sang along to it now with some telling facial expressions. Watch her in the fifth slide:

Katy gushed about Taylor in her caption, writing, “got to see an old friend shine tonight ♥️✨”

Katy and Taylor declared their feud was over in Taylor's “You Need to Calm Down” music video in June 2019. During an interview with U.K.’s Capital Breakfast, Taylor revealed she and Katy had been on good terms since Katy sent Taylor a literal olive branch in May 2018.

“We saw each other at a party and walked up to each other and hugged it out and talked about things,” Taylor explained. “Then saw each other again and hung out at another party. It was just like something felt so much lighter about my life when things became really good between us.” She shared that she and Katy “didn’t know if we were ever gonna really tell people about it [our reconciling]. We wanted to make sure that was solid between us before we ever made the public aware.”

Taylor later spoke to Rolling Stone in September 2019 about their relationship. “Katy and I were talking about our signs...because we had this really, really long talk when we were reconnecting and stuff. And I remember in the long talk, she was like, ‘If we had one glass of white wine right now, we’d both be crying.’ Because we were drinking tea. We’ve had some really good conversations.”
