Kate Winslet bonds with the Queen!

Queen Elizabeth II and Kate Winslet bonded over motherhood at an award ceremony.

The Queen presented the Revolutionary Road actress, 37, with the Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday.

Winslet received the award for her 'services rendered to drama'.

The 86-year-old royal asked Winslet if she enjoyed her career as an actress.

The Titanic star, who has two children, Mia, 12, and Joe, 8, told reporters:

"I said yes, I liked it, but not as much as being a mother."

Winslet said the Queen, a mother of four, agreed, telling her:

"It's the best job."

As she accepted her award, Winslet said of the honour:

"The sense of gravity is enormous and you very much feel like you are being acknowledge by the whole country in a way."

The actress is next starring in the comedy Movie 43, alongside Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Naomi Watts and Richard Gere.
