Kate Ritchie still fits in her Summer Bay High School uniform!

Former Home and Away star Kate Ritchie has taken a trip down memory lane!

To celebrate the release of upcoming flick Independence Day: Resurgence, her and her co-stars on Nova’s Kate, Tim & Marty Drive show themed an hour of the show from the year the original film came out in 1996.

At the time, Ritchie, now 37, was appearing on the hit Channel 7 show and decided to come into the studio wearing her old Summer Bay High School uniform!

“Have a look at Kate Ritchie,” Marty Sheagold told listeners, referring to her outfit.

“How would you describe it?” Tim Blackwell chimed in.

“It’s tartan in fabric and it looks a bit like the Summer Bay High School uniform,” she told them, before adding. “I was merely a school girl working in Summer Bay Marty.”

In 1996, Ritchie’s character Sally Fletcher was having a fling with Scott Irwin, played by the late Heath Ledger.

“Apparently you were schtooping Heath Ledger in ’96,” Blackwell joked.

“I don’t think you say schtooping,” Ritchie replied. “I think it was a romantic rendezvous in the back of a panel van.”

“I didn’t even know you knew Heath Legder,” Sheagold added.

“Oh Marty, it’s because you don’t listen," she told him. "I don’t tend to share too many stories because then it would be ‘oh I’d be dropping names again’.”
