It appears Christmas came early for royal fans in the form of a busy calendar of post-chemo outings for Catherine, Princess of Wales. Kate kicked off her week, which will end with her annual Christmas concert, by joining her husband, Prince William, for a ceremonial welcome that marks the start to a two-day state visit by Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani. Just like the princess herself, Kate's outfit for the occasion is a gift that keeps on giving.

In addition to embracing a perfect winter-ready hue, maroon, that paid homage to the Qatar flag and donning jewelry that is chock-full of meaning, Kate's ensemble is also a rewear from a special 2023 event.

If Kate's head-to-toe burgundy look from this morning looks familiar, don't worry, you're not having déjà vu. It's actually a repeat outfit from a service commemorating the life of Queen Elizabeth II that took place on September 8, 2023. However, this time, she gave it a cold weather shake-up.

In the original look, Kate wore a deep-purple maxi coat dress that featured structured shoulders, a low collar, a subtle V-neckline, and two decorative buttons on either side of her waist. She paired the centerpiece with a matching fascinator topped with an oversize bow, coordinated pointed-toe pumps, a small burgundy clutch, her sapphire engagement ring, and dainty pearl earrings. She wore her hair up in a neat, low bun and glammed up with rosy makeup.

For today's outing, Kate wore another maroon coat dress that also had long sleeves, a maxi skirt, and a V-neckline, though this one differed in that it had a higher collar, shawl lapels, double-breasted buttons, and two large pockets. She paired the Alexander McQueen creation with the same fascinator, which she wore over a similar bun. Kate also added warmer accents via matching leather knee-high boots and leather gloves. She swapped out the red clutch for a top handle quilted purse from Chanel, wore the same pearl drop earrings, and added a multi-strand diamond-and-pearl choker necklace. For her beauty, she opted for a smoky eye and pink lip.

Her jewelry paid homage to Elizabeth, as they once belonged to the late monarch. The necklace also honored Kate's mother-in-law, Princess Diana, who wore the choker during a state banquet in the Netherlands in 1982.

Kate often uses her clothes as a way to send messages, and she's not afraid to rewear garments. Her royal wardrobe contains many timeless pieces that she has dipped into on more than one public occasion. Most notably, she re-wore an entire wedding look, including the tiara, for a Diplomatic Reception in December 2023. She wore the same sequined Jenny Packham gown, Lover's Knot tiara, and Greville Chandelier earrings to a royal wedding in Jordan in June 2023.
