Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Party Had ’Not Many People’ in Attendance After Major Loss: Source (Exclusive)
After the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles at the Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, Feb. 9, the team held a party in New Orleans, La., but there weren't many people there, a source exclusively tells Parade.
The Chiefs had an after party, but the insider says that "not many people went. They were staying at the Marriott hotel."
During the big game, the Chiefs lost to the Eagles with a score of 22 to 40, breaking their streak of Super Bowl wins after taking home the title for two consecutive years.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce's long-term girlfriend Taylor Swift was in attendance at the game, cheering him on, while other celebrity friends like Ice Spice and Este and Danielle of the Haim sisters were by her side in the suite.
Meanwhile, stars like Anne Hathaway, Bradley Cooper and Pete Davidson were at the game to cheer on the Chiefs' opponents, happily celebrating the Super Bowl win afterward.
Spirits appeared low at the end of the night for the Chiefs as many reflected on the loss, with Kelce revealing to journalists what Coach Andy Reid told the team after the game, "This one's gonna hurt. Let it hurt and figure out how to get better because of it."
Kelce talked about what he thought went wrong for his team during the game while also congratulating the Eagles on their exciting win.
After changing out of his uniform, Kelce was spotted heading to Swift's suite to reunite with the singer and his family, including his parents, Donna and Ed Kelce.
As for the Eagles, a source exclusively tells Parade that things got "wild" at the "party for the players and their families at the Hilton Riverside Hotel in New Orleans last night," which included a performance from Sexyy Red, along with foods like beignets, King Cake in the form of cupcakes and "lots of Southern" dishes.
