Yahoo Lifestyle Kansas City Chiefs Chef Details ‘Incredible’ Quality About Taylor Swift
It seems like Taylor Swift charms everyone she meets, with the executive chef for the Kansas City Chiefs the latest to heap praise on the singer.
The chef, Erin Wishon, spoke with Us Weekly about her experience meeting Swift, and she had a lot of great things to say about her.
"You know what's crazy?" began Wishon. "I cannot get over how authentic she is."
She went on, explaining how she and her staff see everyone who comes through the stadium with the team, saying, "We feed the team, we’re standing outside the locker room. We see everybody when they come down the hall to leave."
Wishon continued to emphasize Swift's authenticity as she said, "I was just really taken aback at how kind and authentic she is. I mean, you don’t have to greet the food people, you know? When somebody is like that, I think it’s really incredible."
In the interview, Wishon was also asked if she got to taste Swift's homemade Pop-Tarts that many others have raved about, saying that unfortunately, "I have not had one of them and I’m extremely jealous because I adore her."
"I have heard that they’re delicious. I’ve heard that she’s an excellent baker and an excellent cook,” she concluded.
As for her preparations for the Super Bowl, which takes place on Feb. 9, Wishon revealed that she and her team have to start planning for the big event before the Chiefs even know that they're going to be playing.
She explained, "We start planning ahead of the final game just because there is so much to do. You can’t possibly turn it around from the time you win [the AFC championship] to actually arriving [on site]."
A few years ago, the Chiefs showcased Wishon and her planning and cooking process in a behind-the-scenes video, in which she noted that they feed the team "about three meals a day, six to seven days a week depending on if they're in town or not," illustrating just how much work goes into keeping the Chiefs, including Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce, fed and energized.
