The project marks 13-year-old Caro’s first leading role, following her appearances in various films and TV shows.
“Bringing this story to life has been an emotional experience. Three Years Gone is not just a film; it’s a tribute to my family’s past, a deep dive into the psychic wounds within a Chicano family, and a timely exploration of mental illness in America. As we wrap this project, I hope it sparks meaningful conversations about the impact of war on our communities and the importance of mental health,” shared Gutierrez.
Three Years Gone is produced by Taryn Kosviner of Amiga Pictures, and John Gutierrez and Julio Macias. David Tugendhaft of Satara Ventures serves as executive producer with the company also providing partial financing for the film. Amiga Pictures is in talks with sales agents and will premiere Three Years Gone on the festival circuit next year.
Macias is represented by Stewart Talent and Corner Booth Entertainment; Caro is represented by Osbrink Talent Agency and Mills Kaplan Entertainment; Urbina by Clear Talent Group and 24/7 Management; Serna by Leavitt Agency Corp.
