So, you may have seen the news over the weekend that actor (and, it must be said, definition of turnt) Hailee Steinfeld has gotten engaged to NFL player Josh Allen.

The couple made the announcement in a joint IG post that featured so many damn candles that it was practically a fire hazard.

Josh and Hailee have been rumored as a couple since May of last year. Before then, he was dating Brittany Williams. Here's a picture of the two of them from 2022.
So, according to the Independent, shortly after Josh and Hailee's announcement, an alleged comment from Brittany on an earlier IG post was passed around the internet — and she was quick to allude to the possibility that she wasn't the one who made it.
In response to a comment on a post that read, "Haven't found the next pro athlete yet???" an alleged response from Brittany read, “Luckily my boyfriend owns a team and doesn’t play for one. Don’t have to be with another brain dead CTE athlete.” You can see the screencap here.
It's unclear who Brittany is currently dating. CTE, according to the Indiana School of Medicine, is "a progressive degenerative disease affecting people who have suffered repeated concussions and traumatic brain injuries, that may occur in some athletes and others who have been exposed to concussions and repetitive head impacts."
After the alleged comment went viral, Brittany then responded on her IG Story, "My accounts have been hacked several times tonight. Trying to get it resolved. If anyone has any tips please lmk."
