Jonathan Scott and Zooey DeschanelJonathan Scott is getting ready for Halloween with his family — and this year, he's created something extra special for fiancée Zooey Deschanel's kids.
Speaking at the Inc. 5000 45th Annual Conference & Gala on Thursday, Oct. 17, Scott was asked about his Halloween plans with Deschanel and shared that he was able to put his construction skills to the test as he built something amazing for her daughter Elsie Otter, 9.
"We have 450 people coming over and I'm not joking," Scott said. "I built a full haunted house. Our daughter this year was like, she wants a real scary Halloween haunted house."
"And so I was like, 'Oh, my love language.' And so I've built a real haunted house with all these animatronics. We have the bouncy and the dance floor with a DJ, and it's pretty well done."

Deschanel shares her daughter Elsie and son Charlie Wolf, 7, with ex-husband Jacob Pechenik.
In July, the New Girl alum appeared on Live with Kelly & Mark and spoke about traveling with her family this summer. Sharing that she'd recently been to England and France, Deschanel noted that there's one thing they've been doing that has kept her kids entertained.
"Are you able to take them to cultural things? I know when we took our kids to churches and they were like, ‘Another church?' " co-host Mark Consuelos, 53, asked.
"Yeah! There’s a limit, for sure. It’s knowing the limit, you know. My son loves dinosaurs so the Natural History Museum is great," Deschanel said.
"It’s funny because we went to the Natural History Museum in London and he was like in his element. And then Jonathan [Scott] and my daughter came and met us there and Charlie was like, ‘I’m going to show you again,' " she continued. "He went through again. And I was like, ‘I’m good.’ He took Jonathan and Elsie through because I was like, ‘I need a dinosaur break.’"

Deschanel and ScottWhile speaking exclusively with PEOPLE in May, Scott opened up about how he planned to celebrate Deschanel on Mother's Day.
“Zooey's away filming a movie right now, so I'm actually flying the kids out to be with her over Mother's Day and a few days on either end. So we're going to have a bunch of activities planned and that'll be nice,” Scott said.
He explained to PEOPLE that Deschanel was working on a movie in North Carolina and that he’d already been out there to visit her.
Scott continued, saying that he’ll be bringing her two kids so they can all enjoy some quality time together on Mother’s Day. “I'll be celebrating with both Zooey and my mom here in L.A. before I leave," he added.
