Jonathan Majors Confirms Marriage To Meagan Good Days After Unearthed Audio
Jonathan Majorsconfirmed that he secretly tied the knot with Meagan Good on March 18.
Majors’ confirmation comes after multipleoutlets reported on Tuesday that he got married to Good.
“I said to Meagan yesterday, I said, ‘Today might be the happiest day of my life,’” Majors said on Wednesday’s episode of “Sherri” while shedding tears. “I love that woman so much. So how did it happen? We fell in love.”
The “Creed III” star added: “We finally got to do it, but it was always the plan.”
Dishing out details about the special day, Majors revealed that his mother officiated the ceremony.
“My mother came. My mother’s a pastor, and she came from Dallas where I’m from,” he explained. “We had my mom come, and she came to the L.A. screening [of my new movie ‘Magazine Dreams]’. My mother had never been to one of my screenings. And we had told her that, ‘Hey we’re gonna do this thing.’ And we did. My mother married us yesterday. Her mother was there.”
Majors continued, “We had these rings, and we got them engraved in Hawaii after I spoke with her father again.”
Elsewhere in the episode, the “Devotion” actor shared that he asked Good’s father for permission while in Paris, France, before making her his wife.
“I asked her father for permission ... If that was alright, and he said, ‘That’s cool,’” Majors said. “It was a longer conversation. So it was always the plan.”
Majors and Good first announced their engagement last November. Good was previously married to producer and motivational speaker DeVon Franklin before they divorced in 2022.
Earlier this week, Majors allegedly admitted to strangling his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in new audio reportedly obtained by Rolling Stone. In December 2023, Majors was convicted of assaulting Jabbari, which subsequently led to his firing from his budding role as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
At the time, Good was seen accompanying Majors to court during the two-week trial.
The “Lovecraft Country” star was ultimately found guilty of assault and harassment. In April, he was sentenced to probation, 52 weeks of domestic violence programming, and fined $250.
