'SNL50' buddies Jon Hamm and Michael Byrne on 'The Tonight Show'Jon Hamm reunited with a very special friend he made at SNL50: The Homecoming Concert while visiting The Tonight Show on Thursday.
The Mad Men actor, 54, got the chance to reconnect with the seat filler who was next to him in the front row throughout the entire star-studded Radio City Hall musical event because the special guest who was supposed to sit there never showed up.
Their big moment happened just as host Jimmy Fallon was about to wrap up their interview. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, Jimmy," Hamm interrupted before they could say goodbye. "I'm sorry. Do you see who's here?"
The camera then panned over to reveal none other than Hamm's SNL50 neighbor, who'd taken the seat next to Hamm once again. "The luckiest man in New York City!" Hamm cheered.

Jon Hamm on 'The Tonight Show'"Actor, singer, seat filler," Fallon shouted as Michael and Hamm happily shook hands. "Michael, you're back with Jon again!"
"Yes," Michael replied. "Thank you!"
Earlier in their interview, Hamm explained that he considered Michael the "luckiest person in New York City” because he got to take in the full Saturday Night Live event, which Fallon hosted, from a primo spot next to him, his wife Anna, and SNL alum Will Ferrell.
"This kid got to sit from the beginning of the show to the end of the show — whoever's seat he was filling never showed up," Hamm said. "So he got the whole concert from the front row, got paid, and got to sit next to me!"

The Morning Show star said he "kept checking in" with Michael throughout the evening. "I'm like, 'Dude, don't leave, whatever you do!'"
Fallon then held up a collection of photos from the event that featured Michael with Hamm as they stood feet away from Cher during her performance. "Cher, live," Hamm said, pointing at the singer in a pic before moving his finger a short distance to Michael. "Luckiest man in New York City right there."
He added, "By the end of it, I was like, 'Was this the greatest night of your life?' And the guy was like, 'Yeah. Yeah, it was!'"
Fallon was a big fan of Michael's energy, too. "It was great. I loved him," he said. "He was laughing … It was the same with you — he was a good audience member."
Replied Hamm, "Good front-row guy. Good for him."
