On Tuesday, Senate confirmation hearings were held for Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth.

During the hearing, Republican Sen. Eric Schmitt of Missouri spoke out about the "harmful DEI [diversity, equity, and inclusion] and woke agenda" of the Biden administration.

In part of his speech, he said, "DEI is not about giving everybody opportunity. It is rooted in cultural Marxism, the idea that pits the room, any room, with oppressor versus oppressed. It’s race essentialism, and it is poison. It has no business whatsoever in our military. I think the American people have spoken loud and clearly about this. They're tired of this. They're tired of woke ideology. And to my Democrat colleagues on the other side, you missed the plot."

Yeah, okay, but the internet noticed one thing wrong...

Yep, that's not how you spell "military."
