John Stamos Shares Rare Photo With the Olsen Twins: 'All Grown-Up Michelle Tanner'

John Stamos is reminiscing about a special memory he shares with his former Full House co-stars, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

The 61-year-old actor, who famously starred as the Olsen twins' on-screen uncle, Jesse Katsopolis, recently posted a throwback photo from 2002, when Mary-Kate and Ashley came to support his Broadway performance in Cabaret.

As seen in the photo, apparently taken backstage in a dressing room, John wrapped his arms around the two sisters while they flanked him and smiled for the sweet pic.

The ER alum also shared a photo of his dramatic look while playing the emcee in the Tony-winning musical, as well as another shot of him posing with his co-star, Molly Ringwald, who played Sally Bowles.

But it was the photo of "Uncle Jesse" reuniting with his TV nieces that really had his Instagram followers feeling nostalgic.

"This is everything," one of John's followers wrote in the comments on his Friday, Sept. 20 Instagram post. Another user called it "so sweet to see you three together."

In his caption, John further reflected on the memory of the Olsen twins, who were teenagers when the pic was taken.

"That time the Olsen twins came to Studio 54 to see my performance as the M.C. in Cabaret," he wrote alongside his post. "It was pretty surreal having an all grown-up Michelle Tanner watching me exhibiting a complete metamorphosis from their TV uncle."

Mary-Kate and Ashley, now 38, starred as the youngest Tanner daughter on Full House, which premiered in 1987 when they were just infants. Playing a younger sister to Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), the twins switched off scenes as Michelle as the three girls were raised by their dad, Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), Uncle Jessie and family friend Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier).

The Olsens remained with the show until it ended in 1995, although they did not return for the reboot series Fuller House, which aired from 2016 to 2020.

In his post on Friday, John said that he and the Olsens "share a mutual pride for how far we've all come."

"If you would have told me," he ended the nostalgic post.
