John Legend Pays Romantic Tribute to Wife Chrissy Teigen on Her 39th Birthday: ‘My Queen’

John Legend is honoring his “queen” Chrissy Teigen on her birthday!

On Saturday, Nov. 30, the singer, 45, shared a romantic tribute on Instagram to his “brilliant” wife Teigen in celebration of her 39th birthday.

“It’s my Queen’s birthday!” Legend wrote of his wife in the caption. “You’re so beautiful, creative, brilliant, funny and cool af. I feel so lucky to be your partner in life FOR LIFE. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

Alongside his message, the musician posted a stunning shot of a sun-kissed Teigen from her May 2024 Sports Illustrated photoshoot as she posed in a nude-toned embellished bikini top and matching string bottoms while standing in the water.

The model and cookbook author had her head turned to the side in the snap and sported pink blush and a nude lip. She wore her hair loose and added a pair of embellished hoop earrings to her look.

Legend and Teigen tied the knot in 2013. The pair share four children: daughters Luna Simone, 8, and Esti Maxine, 23 months, and sons Miles Theodore, 6, and Wren Alexander, 17 months, who was born via surrogate.

Legend’s tribute to his wife comes as Teigen shared a reflective message of her own the day before her birthday on Instagram.

“It’s the day before my birthday 🫠 and I always get so emo. Every year I tell myself I’m the next year older, that way I’m never surprised when the age actually comes. I don't even know why I’m this way,” she wrote while sharing photos of their kids at home.

She continued, “I love other people’s birthdays! And I love growing older and wiser. I think I just don’t personally need the celebration part! Truly if you have ever thought of surprising me, please know I would rather die. But I love you for the thought ... what I’m trying to say is I feel so, so grateful. For you, my family, my friends, my job (whatever it is) 🤍🤍🤍."

On Thursday, Nov. 28, Teigen shared a glimpse of her busy Thanksgiving with the kids on her Instagram Stories as she showed them helping her prepare a feast for the holiday in the kitchen.

The mom of four also shared on her Cravings by Chrissy Instagram account a sweet family photo of her and Legend with their kids to commemorate the holiday.

"Feeling a little extra thankful this Thanksgiving," Teigen wrote in the caption. "To our families, our amazing friends, and to all of you who support us — thank you doesn’t even begin to cover it."

"Wishing you all a Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, and second helpings! 🦃," she concluded.
