The girl and her family were celebrating the end of Eid and Ramadan in the area when she strayed from the group, police told Fox 29.

"They were on the playsets closer to the park and it appeared the child wandered into the park," Capt. John Ryan with Northeast Police Detectives told the outlet, adding that the family looked for the toddler and contacted the police when they couldn't find her.

Police were unable to locate the child by the end of the night, per Fox 29, despite using drones and dirt bikes during the search.

The police were stationed near the park throughout the night, NBC10 reported.

Multiple sources stated that the toddler was found by a woman on a jog in the park on Monday, March 31, around 8:20 a.m. local time. The child was evaluated by medics and reunited with her mother, per NBC10.

The girl appeared to "be in good health" with "a few minor scrapes and scratches, Philadelphia Police Inspector Deshawn Beaufort told NBC10, adding that the toddler “was standing in the brush” when she was found.

She was wearing the same clothing she went missing in, authorities confirmed to NBC10 and Fox 29.

"Very alert, very awake, seems to be in good health, you know, for a child that looks to be possibly in the park all night long, but she definitely seems to be in a little bit of shock, but definitely alert, awake," Beaufort told NBC10 of the girl’s status.

As for the jogger, Ryan told Fox 29 that she happened to be in the right place at the right time. "There’s a lot of off-the-grid walking paths that aren’t the obvious paths people like to use and she obviously took the right path to find the child," the police captain said.

ABC6 reported that the girl was taken to St. Christopher's Children's Hospital.
