And never the two shall meet — for now, at least.

Yesterday, Joe took to TikTok to share a series of images suggesting that Timothée has ghosted him via text for an entire year — but, there's a bit more to this story than that.

"Last December I sent Timothee Chalamet a text from my friends phone anticipating a response," Joe claimed, sharing a screenshot of the alleged text as proof.

"This December he still hasn't texted back," he revealed in the TikTok's second slide, alongside what seems to be a recent selfie. "Hope this helps!"

One commenter gamely suggested that Timothée was still "thinking of a good response." "It'll come soon enough," they said, to which Joe replied, "Good things can wait."

Another commenter pointed out that the situation felt a bit familiar to them — to which Joe responded (finally!) with a message of support.

Here's the thing, though: If you were Timothée Chalamet and you got a text like that — from your friend, or anyone, really — how would you respond? Would you even reply at all? Let us know in the comments.
