It's nearly time to say goodbye to You.

Netflix just released the first teaser for the final season of the Penn Badgley-led drama, which will premiere on April 24. In it, Joe Goldberg looks back at the many "complications" of his four-season journey, a.k.a. his many loves, and therefore, his many victims. "Here we are together again, back to where it began," his voiceover says, nodding to the fact that he's finally back in New York City. And by his side, of course, is his trusty cage.

As we get flashes of Beck (Elizabeth Lail), Marienne (Tati Gabrielle), and many more familiar faces, Joe prepares for his final chapter with Kate (Charlotte Ritchie) and, of course, with you. "All that led me here to now, to where I as always meant to be," he says. "And the one constant, the one thing that has always been there for me, is you. You who have been there the whole time and will be there with me to the end. Goodbye, you."

Joe Goldberg has been on quite the journey ever since You first premiered. Based on the Caroline Kepnes book series, You originally aired on Lifetime before making the jump to Netflix following its first season. Once on the streamer, the series took off as audiences became, shall we say, obsessed with Joe. But with every season, he became just a bit more unhinged, until finally, season 4 saw Joe experience a psychotic break with the realization that the Eat the Rich killer, a man named Rhys (Ed Speleers), was actually him. Rhys is a figment of Joe's imagination. He's a part of him — a terrifying part that is now unleashed in NYC.

At the time, Entertainment Weekly spoke to then-showrunner Sera Gamble about the show's ending, where she said: "We have some ideas that we've been talking about pretty much from the beginning. The thing that we have the most is an ongoing debate. Certainly [executive producer] Greg [Berlanti] and I have talked with Penn about like, this is something we're envisioning for the end, but it's really the debate about what kind of justice would be fair and appropriate for a guy like Joe. And then do we believe that he would get that kind of punishment? My short answer is like, maybe not from the American system. But there might be other ways. [Laughs] So that's the stuff we're talking about."

Gamble remains an executive producer, but Michael Foley and Justin Lo serve as showrunners for the final season. Watch the new teaser above.

We'll find out how it all ends when the final season premieres Thursday, April 24, on Netflix.
