Jodie Sweetin Makes Fun “Full House” Reference While Helping Daughter Zoie Learn How to Drive
“She was VERY good. As long as she never backs the car through the kitchen … we’re good,” the actress said, nodding to an episode involving Uncle Joey’s car
Jodie Sweetin is hoping life doesn't imitate art when it comes to her daughter's driving!
Full House alum Sweetin, 42, posted a photo on Instagram Friday that showed her and her daughter Zoie Herpin, 15, in a car together and jokingly nodded to a memorable episode — titled “Honey, I Broke the House” — in the caption discussing helping her daughter practice her driving skills.
“This is me not at all worried while riding with Zo practicing her ‘neighborhood driving’ with her new Drivers Permit,” Sweetin wrote alongside the photo. “Actually … she was VERY good. As long as she never backs the car through the kitchen … we’re good.”
Her caption was a playful reference to the moment her character Stephanie Tanner drove Uncle Joey’s car through the kitchen wall in the 1990 Full House episode.
The hilarious moment saw Michelle Tanner (played by Ashley Olsen) repeatedly screaming the phrase “There’s a car in the kitchen,” before Uncle Jesse (played by John Stamos) looks at Stephanie and says, “You’re the one who drove Joey’s — Steph, you can’t even drive.” Stephanie replies, ”You’re tellin’ me.”
Sweetin's followers were quick to acknowledge, and appreciate, the quip in the comment section of the post, with one writing, "I see what you did there 😉 @jodiesweetin," while others shared GIFs of the moment from the show.
"I get that reference 😂 and I’m so proud of Zo. 👏🥰," another follower wrote.
Sweetin, who is married to Mescal Wasilewski, co-parents Zoie with ex-husband Cody Herpin. She also co-parents Zoie’s younger sister Beatrix Sweetin Coyle, 13, with ex-husband Morty Coyle.
