Jimmy Barnes rushed to Sydney hospital emergency department
Jimmy Barnes has shared an update from his hospital bed after being rushed to the emergency department by his wife Jane on Monday night.
“I spent last night in ER at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, and I want to thank the amazing staff who took care of me,” he captioned the image of himself in his hospital bed.
He was reportedly rushed to the hospital with a “stomach bug”, but seemed to be in good spirits as he then shared another post, dedicating a song - the Beatles classic, With a little help from our friends - to his wife and the hospital staff.
“This song (see next post) is for them and my best friend Jane Barnes, who dashed me there and stayed by my side,” he wrote.
“We’ll all get by with a little help from our friends. Look after each other in these uncertain times.”
The post was quickly flooded with ‘get well’ comments from fans and other within the entertainment and music industry.
“Get well soon Jimmy and sending lots of hugs to Jane too,” Channel 10 personality Angela Bishop wrote.
While concerned fans wished the rocker a speedy recovery.

“Omg Jimmy, take care look after yourself hope you’re on the mend,” another wrote.
Jimmy has been offering a treat for his fans almost nightly, throughout isolation with regular performances featuring Jane on guitar.
He has also had special guest appearances from others including their children Mahalia, David, Jackie and EJ, brother in law Diesel and even MasterChef judge Jock Zonfrillo.
