Jeremy Renner in 'critical but stable condition' after horrific accident

The Marvel actor suffered 'extensive' injuries.

Actor Jeremy Renner was airlifted to hospital on Sunday following a horrific snowplough accident at his home in Reno, Nevada.

The 51-year-old, best known for his role as Hawkeye in a number of Marvel projects, was attempting to clear a path out of his home with his snow groomer following a massive New Year’s Eve storm when the vehicle accidentally ran over one of his legs.

According to TMZ, the machine’s safety features failed and it rolled over Jeremy’s leg, causing him to lose “a lot of blood” and suffer “extensive” injuries.

One of his neighbours, who is a doctor, reportedly put a tourniquet on his leg until he was transported via care flight to a local hospital.
