Jennifer Love Hewitt Gives First-Ever Look at Her 3 Kids on Memoir Book Cover

Jennifer Love Hewitt

Jennifer Love Hewitt just shared the cover of her new memoir, and the family portrait featured on the front of the book marks a major milestone for the mom of three.

For the first time ever, the 9-1-1 star publicly showed the faces of her three children with her husband, Brian Hallisay, despite keeping their kids out of the public eye for the past decade.

Hewitt, 45, is photographed on the cover of her memoir, along with daughter Autumn James, 10, and her two sons, Atticus James, 8, and Aidan James, 2. The whimsical cover, branded with the book's title, Inheriting Magic: My Journey Through Grief, Joy, Celebration & Making Every Day Magical, depicts the actress holding up a spell book and a magic wand while her three kiddos gather around to witness the magic.

"It was the most stressful decision to show our kids or not show them," Hewitt told E! News about debuting their faces on the book's cover. "But my husband and I felt like we couldn't really tell our story without knowing who they are and how they have made our lives so full and magical."

Inheriting Magic details Hewitt's journey through grief after losing her mother, Patricia Hewitt, in 2012. "I feel healed enough from losing my mom to finally be able to write about it," she told the publication.

"I also have seen how creating little bits of magic for my kids and friends makes our memories and everyday lives special," she added. "I wanted to honor my mom and how much being a mom means to me and this felt like the best way."

Plus, Hewitt said, "My kids also saved me in grief."

"They are gifts from my mom and have filled our hearts in such an incredible way. This book is for them!"

Inheriting Magic: My Journey Through Grief, Joy, Celebration & Making Every Day Magical will hit bookshelves Tuesday, December 10.
