Jennifer Garner made a surprising confession about motherhood while appearing on a new podcast series that debuted just in time for Mother’s Day.

The 13 Going on 30 star first became a mother in 2005 when she and her then-husband Ben Affleck welcomed the arrival of their oldest daughter, Violet. The couple, who divorced in 2018, now share three children together.

While speaking with author Kelly Corrigan and model Christy Turlington Burns for Kelly Corrigan Wonders: About Your Mother, a new five-part podcast series that arrived this week, Garner said she was “so lucky” during all three of her pregnancies.

“I had great pregnancies,” Garner said. “I’ve been pregnant three times in my life, I have three kids. I’m so lucky.”

It didn’t take the Alias actress long to get pregnant, she added, estimating that she “probably tried four or five months” for her three pregnancies “combined.”

Garner, who celebrated her 52nd birthday a few days after recording the podcast last month, then joked that she “could” likely still have a child.

“I’m 52 next week and I bet I could have one in a field right now,” she said. She later clarified that she didn’t “really” believe that, but, “I was born to breed, for sure.”

Garner’s May 8 podcast episode was one of five that Corrigan and Turlington Burns recorded for their special series, which spotlights interviews they conducted with celebrities about their mothers. They launched Kelly Corrigan Wonders: About Your Mother in support of Every Mother Counts, the maternal health nonprofit that Turlington Burns founded in 2010.

While discussing their new series on the Today show earlier this week, Corrigan and Turlington Burns told Today co-host Savannah Guthrie that the episodes aim to “underline the ways that every mother counts” and explore the “essential roles” that mothers play in children’s lives. In addition to exploring these themes, the series is also striving to raise $100,000 for Every Mother Counts.
