Jennifer Aniston shocks with new look at Golden Globes: 'Aging like a fine wine'

"Jennifer Aniston really brought back the Rachel haircut, but more sophisticated."

Jennifer Aniston has wowed fans with a new hairstyle on the Golden Globes red carpet, and it's a nostalgic nod to her much beloved Friends character Rachel Green.

The 54-year-old star stepped out looking chic in a black strapless gown, and a newly cut mid-length bob, which fans know as a hairstyle dubbed 'The Rachel' back in the day.

The honey-blonde, feathered bob has been cemented in pop culture history: after Jennifer debuted it in the '90s, women flocked to their hairdressers hoping to recreate the iconic look.

Jennifer's new take on The Rachel didn't go unnoticed, with fans gushing over her new 'do that resembled the '90s cut.

"Jennifer Aniston is the best example of aging like fine wine. Her hair!" one fan tweeted on X. "Jennifer Aniston with short hair is ETHEREAL, that's all," another person gushed.

Others noted the similarity to The Rachel.

"Jennifer Aniston really brought back the Rachel haircut, but more sophisticated," one person said.

"Jennifer Aniston’s new haircut is so Rachel Green-coded," one person on X tweeted.

Jennifer famously wasn't the biggest fan of The Rachel haircut, saying in a 2011 interview with Allure that it wasn't her "best look".

"I love Chris [McMillan, my hair stylist], but he's the bane of my existence at the same time because he started that damn Rachel, which was not my best look," she said, going on the say the problem with the hair cut was that it was difficult to maintain and style.

So as a word of warning, in case you're rushing out the door to get The Rachel yourself, listen to Jennifer's parting words.

"It only lasted for about six months because it just was hard to do. I loved it, but I couldn’t style it on my own," she revealed.
