Following New Idea’s recent report that Jen’s weight gain is due to fertility treatment, insiders say the actress has no plans to reveal her condition until she’s near her third trimester.
‘Jen’s put her body through hell trying to make her motherhood dreams come true,’ reveals one of Jen’s long-time pals.
‘She’s prone to miscarriages and so she doesn’t want to take any chances this time. She won’t make any announcements until that bump is nearly six months along.'

Jen's slightly fuller figure showed a marked difference from her toned appearance at an awards show she attended just months earlier.
The 47-year-old actress also broke down in tears during the tribute to director James Burrows.
‘She’s highly emotional right now and her hormones are all over the place because of the fertility treatments,’ explains the friend.
‘It’s totally unlike Jen to break down like that.’

According to fertility obstetrician Dr Dave E. David, IVF can put about 2kg on a woman of Jen’s figure.
He says: ‘If someone’s having trouble getting pregnant, we may use steroids that can cause weight gain.’
