Jennie Garth’s 3 Kids: All About Luca, Lola and Fiona
Jennie Garth is proud of who her daughters grew up to be
Jennie Garth is close with her three kids — Luca, Lola and Fiona — whom she shares with ex-husband Peter Facinelli. The former couple, who split in 2012, welcomed Luca in 1997, Lola in 2002 and Fiona in 2006.
Despite her busy schedule packed with shows like Beverly Hills, 90210 and What I Like About You, Garth has always carved out time to bond with her girls.
She's connected with them over clothes, taught them how to drive and even took them to see one of Taylor Swift’s August 2023 Eras tour shows in Los Angeles. When she’s not hanging out with her daughters, she shows them off on social media and praises them in her captions.
In September 2009, Garth joked to PEOPLE that she and her daughters like to be together “more than most child psychologists or even my mother would say is healthy.” Over a decade later, in May 2021, Garth opened up to PEOPLE about parenting older children.
“My job now is to just sort of keep them in the right lane, because they’re doing their thing and they’re becoming who they are and who they want to be,” she said. “And I’m just there to support that and kind of nudge them left and right to just keep them going in the right direction.”
The actress noted that it’s a “whole different ball game” when girls become young women.
“When you're a parent, I could breathe the wrong way, and it would be like the end of the world,” Garth told PEOPLE. “But for the most part, they think I'm pretty cool, and we can hang out.”
Here’s everything to know about Jennie Garth’s kids: Luca, Lola and Fiona.
Luca Bella Facinelli, 27
Garth and Peter welcomed their oldest daughter, Luca, on June 29, 1997. At the time, the actress was 25 years old and starring in Beverly Hills, 90210. In May 2021, she told Yahoo! Life that she would “do it again in a heartbeat,” adding, “I love that I was a young mom.”
While chatting with Cookie in October 2009, Garth described setting up her work environment to accommodate baby Luca. “I had a whole camp set up ... by my trailer with a fake yard, toys, a waterslide and a baby pool,” she said.
The set designers even built a picket fence around what she called “Baby Land.” Garth told the magazine, “I joke that I moved out of Beverly Hills into my little trailer park in the back.”
Luca inherited her mother’s acting chops and appeared alongside Garth in the 2019 Lifetime movie Your Family or Your Life. She also scored roles in the series Interracial and Ad Out that same year, but Luca is also a filmmaker.
In November 2018, she created a short titled Arm Candy and shared it on Instagram.
After earning her bachelor's degree at New York University, she graduated from The New School in May 2023, and her parents were there to celebrate the milestone. Garth posted sweet photos from the special day, featuring other family members.
According to her LinkedIn, Luca currently works on special events for amFAR, a nonprofit organization focused on ending the AIDS epidemic.
On Luca’s 26th birthday, Garth shared a touching Instagram tribute featuring a video of her daughter enjoying the beach.
“It’s this beautiful soul’s birthday!” she captioned it. “You shine from the inside at all times. You are pure love. I’m so lucky you are my daughter. I ❤️you infinitely. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you my first born birdie⭐️💕⭐️.”
Lola Ray Facinelli, 21
Garth and Peter welcomed their second child together, daughter Lola, on Dec. 6, 2002.
When she was 5, she encountered health difficulties and was diagnosed with systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis, commonly known as Still’s Disease. The condition is a type of inflammatory arthritis that can cause fevers, rashes and joint and muscle pain, according to Mayo Clinic.
In October 2022, Garth opened up to PEOPLE about Lola’s condition. “Seeing my daughter suffer was one of the hardest things I ever had to go through,” the actress reflected.
She remembered it getting so bad that they sought medical help for Lola. “She was in the hospital for quite a number of days and received treatment there,” Garth said, noting that it was “definitely a hard time” for their family.
When Lola was a senior in high school, Garth made her a prom dress herself and she created a strapless black gown for the occasion.
“The thing is, she could have asked me to buy her some fancy dress but she wanted it to be homemade,” Garth wrote on Instagram alongside photos of her daughter posing in the dress. “She wanted that. I dunno, it just makes me proud. And it made her so proud to be able to say ‘my Mom made my dress.’ ”
Lola seems to enjoy returning the favor and making things for her mother. In a December 2023 Instagram post, she shared photos of a patchwork quilted jacket she made with recycled fabrics for Garth.
On the education front, she graduated from Oakwood School in L.A. in June 2021 and went on to attend college at New York University like her older sister.
“The thought of Lola Ray going off to college honestly stops me in my tracks for a moment,” Garth told PEOPLE in August 2021. She added, “Then I remind myself that this is what I've worked as a mother to ultimately do, let my bird leave the nest and fly ... I get excited for her. That usually makes me redirect my emotions around it all.”
Fortunately, it seems like they still carve out time to hang out with each other. In a January Instagram video, Garth documented her and Lola hitting the gym together. They did push-ups, squats, lifted weights and more.
“It’s been two weeks since I’ve felt well enough to workout,” Garth wrote. “Thank you my sweet @raylolaray for going with me to start to get back on track.”
Fiona Eve Facinelli, 18
Garth and Peter welcomed their youngest daughter, Fiona, on Sept. 30, 2006.
With only two Instagram posts, Fiona is the most private of Garth’s daughters. She appears to enjoy the outdoors — in January 2023, she shared photos of herself posing in a snowy setting, and her August 2023 post features pictures of her sitting outside on a sunny day. More recently, in January 2024, she went hiking in the snow with Garth and her sisters, per a social media post from the actress.
On Fiona’s 16th birthday in September 2022, Garth reflected on their relationship, sharing an adorable throwback photo of her and her daughter pressing their faces together.
“It is my greatest pride and joy being your mommy,” the actress wrote on Instagram. “You are an exceptionally deep and kind person, who knows how to love with her whole heart. I’m so proud of you and eternally grateful you are my daughter.”
She added that Fiona has brought “laughter and love” into the lives of everybody who knows her.
Garth also expresses her love for Fiona through grand gestures, including gifting her a BMW for her birthday.
In an April 2023 Instagram post, the 90210 star shared photos of her daughter reacting to the car, which was decorated with a red bow. The actress also shared a gentle reminder about her driving.
“Happy new car baby girl!” Garth captioned her post. “I 💖you @fionaeveee PLEASE BE CAREFUL🙏🏻.”
Fiona celebrated another milestone in June 2024 when she attended her high school prom. Garth shared a photo of her daughter in a long black gown on Instagram.
"This will be my second to last prom with my girls. It’s always so fun helping them to get dressed up and feeling beautiful," she wrote. "Enjoy every moment of the journey. It passes by so fast…"
