Jenna Ortega's pristine 'glass veil' hairstyle is giving sexy Beetlejuice statue
Beauty trends can be cyclic; they come and then they go but the best, well, they stick around, making for a timeless reign. Think classics: the bob, pixie cut, side-swept bangs and now, glass, veil hair, courtesy of Jenna Ortega at the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice UK premiere. She's giving sexy statue, in the best way possible...
Last night [August 29, 2024], the 21-year-old actor who plays Astrid Deetz in the upcoming movie stepped out at the red carpet premiere in London looking as gorgeous as ever. Of course, she went above and beyond in the fashion department, wearing a floor-length gown complete with velvet opera gloves, however, it was the glam beauty touches that made for a show-stopping mo'.
Ditching her once signature shaggy wolf cut, Jenna's now chest-length locks were styled over her shoulders with a sleek, pristine and pin-straight finish.
During the autumn/winter 2023 season, hairstylist and trend forecaster Tom Smith dubbed this very behind-the-shoulders look 'the veil'. "Romantic, ethereal and statuesque, this hairstyle is incredibly easy for anyone with long hair – specifically those with beyond shoulder-length locks," Tom previously told Cosmo UK.
At the time, we saw the likes of Naomi Campbell and Emma Mackey both rocking the look and now, just short of a year later, Jenna proves just how timeless it really is with her own take on the trend.
But we're not finished there, folks, because what makes for the hybrid look is the glossy shine on Jenna's lengths, commonly referred to as the 'glass hair' trend (aka, it's so shiny and reflective just like a polished pane of glass!).
Everyone from Kim Kardashian to Bella Hadid and even Kate Middleton has rocked the style in recent years, so, with Jenna also jumping onto the glass hair bandwagon, it's safe to say that it has certainly earned its evergreen name.
