Jason Aldean Details What Led to Wife Brittany's Grisly Finger Injury

Jason Aldean is shedding light on the painful injury his wife, Brittany, sustained during their recent getaway to Switzerland.

While speaking with Taste of Country, the 47-year-old singer was asked about Brittany's June 2 Instagram upload that showed her wearing a chic crochet beige blazer, white pants and gold jewelry as she hung out with a cool drink in her left hand, which was wrapped in a bandage and appeared to be supported by a splint.

In the short clip, Brittany casually revealed that she "broke [her] hand in Switzerland" before taking a big swig from the glass and saying nothing more about the injury.

But now, we're hearing the whole story as it occurred and from the perspective of the "Try That in a Small Town" crooner.

"She was walking down some steep stairs one day, she had on these chunky boots, kinda combat boot things, and she kinda lost her balance," Jason began.

While her hand didn't break her fall, it still ended up broken with her finger messed up 'pretty bad,' and the country singer's explanation for that is rather unpleasant.

"And she went down the steps a little bit, but her finger—she was holding to the rail, and her finger just snapped back," Jason recalled, "and it broke her bone in that hand."

When asked about Brittany's immediate reaction, the award-winning artist said: "She just kinda bent over in pain, and she was just like, 'I'm scared, I'm scared, my pinky is dangling.'"

"I was like, 'Yeah, I don't need to see that, let me go get somebody that might be able to help," Jason added. "She knew immediately that she had messed it up pretty bad."

As for Brittany's prognosis, Jason told the outlet that "luckily" she doesn't need surgery or any invasive medical procedures to help it heal properly, "Just a little cast for a month and she should be good."
