Jana Kramer Admits She Was Disappointed Recent Pregnancy Test Was Negative 5 Months After Giving Birth

The country singer is mom to three kids and welcomed baby Roman five months ago

Just five months after welcoming her baby son Roman, Jana Kramer thought she was going to be a mom again.

On the Monday, April 22 episode of her podcast Whine Down, the country singer and actress, 40, revealed that she recently thought she was pregnant after not getting her period. "Guys, so I have an announcement to make," Kramer begins. "I took a pregnancy test."

Describing how she and fiancé Allan Russell had a "little whoopsie," Kramer says that the two are always "so careful," adding that something like this has never happened before.

"It's literally never happened before. Then Jace takes this little rock and he goes, out of nowhere, I mean literally, out of nowhere, 'Dear God, I want mommy to have another baby,' and prays to this rock," Kramer says of her 5-year-old son. "And I was like, 'Throw the rock f---ing outside. Chuck the rock f---ing outside."

The mom of three continues, "So I was like, 'I'm totally pregnant.'...But then three days later, I started my period."

Although she expected to feel relieved, Kramer shares that she actually felt a little disappointed. "I was like, 'Well, I kind of want another one.'...I got to a place where I'm like, 'I would love another one with [Allan] on the right timeline.' "

But Kramer admits that her age has been stopping her from wanting to go down that path.

"If I was younger, I would have another in a heartbeat," she shares. "If I was 38, I would have another one."

She continues on to say that Russell is open to having another baby, but that they'd recently agreed that their family is probably complete. "I don't think my body could handle another one and he doesn't want to do IVF, so I think it's done."

Kramer and Russell welcomed their son Roman in November. She is also mom to son Jace and daughter Jolie, 8, whom she shares with ex Mike Caussin.
