Jamie Neumann Joins Apple Golf Comedy Series Opposite Owen Wilson
EXCLUSIVE: Jamie Neumann (The Deuce, Lovecraft Country) has been cast in Apple’s new 10-episode comedy starring and executive produced by Owen Wilson, and created, written by and executive produced by Jason Keller (Ford v Ferrari).
From Apple Studios, the untitled comedy follows Pryce Cahill (Wilson), an over-the-hill, ex-pro golfer whose career was derailed prematurely 20 years ago. After he gets fired from his job at an Indiana sporting goods store and his wife walks out on him, Pryce hedges his bets entirely on a troubled 17-year-old golf phenom, played by Peter Dager.

Neumann will play ‘the series regular role of Amber-Linn,’ Pryce’s ex-wife. She joins the previously announced cast which also includes Marc Maron and Mariana Treviño.
The untiled series will be directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris (Fleishman is in Trouble, Little Miss Sunshine), and executive produced by Propagate Content’s Ben Silverman (The Office), Howard T. Owens and Rodney Ferrell, Entertainment 360’s Guymon Casady (Ripley, The Fall Guy), Piece of Work’s Lee Eisenberg and Natalie Sandy, Chris Moynihan, Keller and Wilson. Bill Callahan also serves as executive producer.
Neumann previously portrayed ‘Dorothy Spina / Ashley,’ a sex worker in HBO’s The Deuce, created by David Simon. Most recently, she appeared in Peacock’s video game series, Twisted Metal, opposite Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz. Before that, Neumann appeared in the Season 3 premiere of Donald Glover’s hit FX series Atlanta. Additional credits include Jordan Peele and Misha Green’s HBO series, Lovecraft Country, 61st Street for AMC, Netflix’s Jessica Jones, USA’s The Sinner and Hulu’s Looming Tower.
On the film side, she leads the upcoming independent film Thirsty with Kyra Sedgwick. Other credits include Down With the King playing a recovering addict alongside rapper Freddie Gibbs and 21 Bridges.
