Jamie Foxx Reveals Details About His Mysterious Hospitalization

More than a year after Jamie Foxx was mysteriously hospitalized for an extended period, the actor has shared details about what happened.

Recently, Foxx was recorded telling a group in downtown Phoenix, Ariz., about his health scare.

The Collateral actor explained in the video shared via X that after he started experiencing a bad headache on April 11, 2023, he asked a friend for Advil. He woke up weeks later with no recollection of what happened to him.

“I was gone for 20 days,” Foxx said, adding that he does not “remember anything.”

The 56-year-old explained that he was in Atlanta when he was hospitalized and that his daughter and sister took him to "the first doctor." Foxx mumbled something to a woman before adding, "Next doctor said, ‘Something going on up there,” while pointing to his head.

“I won’t say it on camera,” he said as he looked at the person recording.

In July 2023, Foxx explained in an Instagram video why he hadn't previously offered a health update.

"I went through something that I thought I would never, ever go through. And I know a lot of people were waiting or wanted to hear updates, but to be honest with you, I just didn't want you to see me like that, man," he shared with followers.

Foxx continued, "I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, television show…I didn't want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was gonna make it through."

Although Foxx still hasn't revealed his exact health diagnosis, fans are surely glad to see him feeling much better today.
