Jacob Batalon Says Fiancée Veronica Leahov Wants a Wedding in Italy, Shares His Own Must-Haves for the Big Day

Jacob Batalon and his fiancée Veronica Leahov are taking their time with wedding planning — but they do have some interesting ideas for the big day.

While stepping out to the Los Angeles premiere of his new film Novocaine on Monday, March 10, the actor, 28, told Entertainment Tonight that while he and Leahov are "just enjoying the engagement right now," she already has her eye on a glamorous location for the nuptials: Italy's Lake Como.

As for Batalon, he has a couple wedding must-haves of his own in mind when it comes to the food and his groom's attire. "I mean, some adobo for sure," he said. "And then maybe some like — I kind of want to wear Aloha shirts instead of a tuxedo."

The Spider-Man: Far From Home star also reflected on what it's like to now call Leahov — an architectural designer — his fiancée.

"It's a really cool adult word, I would say. I feel very fancy. Fiancée … it's really great," the actor told ET, before sharing some sweet words about his wife-to-be.

"She's like the most supportive person I've ever met in my life. She loves to see me win and I love to see her win. And she's just inspired me to be a better person and to work harder at my job," Batalon said.

The couple announced their engagement on social media on March 5. Batalon shared a post on his Instagram featuring photos of the romantic moment. He popped the question at night in New York City, setting up a red, heart-shaped floral arrangement and candles at a spot by the river, with the glittering skyline in the background.

Snapshots show Batalon down on one knee and the couple embracing after Leahov said "yes." Another photo offers a close-up look at the future bride's square-cut diamond engagement ring.

Batalon captioned the post, "The beginning of the rest of our lives together❤️‍🔥♾️🔐👸🏼👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏽🤞🏽🌎," and Leahov commented, "All mine forever ♾️🥂💍❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥🔒."

Leahov also shared the happy news on her own Instagram, writing: "A lifetime of us!!!! I never imagined my heart could hold so much love and feel such depth of emotion. This is the purest happiness I’ve ever known, and I can’t wait to spend forever with the love of my life!! 💍♾️❤️‍🔥."

Batalon commented on her post, "Forever and always❤️❤️❤️."

Just weeks before the engagement, Leahov shared an Instagram post with photos and clips of the pair enjoying a getaway in Oahu, Hawaii. In the caption, she reflected on her relationship with Batalon, writing, "That feeling when you find someone that feels like home when no one else did, is indescribable🤍🏹✨🌊🌅🐢🌺👩‍❤️‍👨."

The Reginald the Vampire star shared his own touching shout-out to his now-fiancée on her birthday on Nov. 28. "You’re truly the most amazing person in my life and I’m thankful that I get to call you mine🔐💯♾️," he wrote. "You’re thoughtful, kind, smart and funny as f---🥰. I just want the world to know how unique and special you are."

Batalon added: "This year is gonna be another amazing year of life! I’m so excited, and I’m looking forward to spending it with you and the rest of our future together❤️."
