Jack Ryan Feature Film in the Works With John Krasinski Returning to Star
John Krasinski’s Jack Ryan era isn’t over yet.
TVLine has confirmed that Amazon MGM Studios is developing a Jack Ryan feature film, which will serve as an extension of the Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan series that Krasinski led on Prime Video. He’ll be back to star as the title character in the potential flick.

Wendell Pierce, who played CIA operative James Greer in Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, is also attached to return, while Michael Kelly is in negotiations to reprise his role of Mike November.
There are currently no plot specifics for the feature film, but the movie hails from several alumni of the Prime Video series: Aaron Rabin, who wrote and exec-produced multiple Season 4 episodes, will pen the script, and Andrew Bernstein (who served as an EP and director on Season 2) will helm the film.
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, starring Krasinski as the titular CIA analyst, streamed on Prime Video for four seasons from 2018 to 2023. Prior to Krasinski’s version of the character, the role had been played on the silver screen by Alec Baldwin (The Hunt for Red October), Harrison Ford (Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger), Ben Affleck (The Sum of All Fears) and Chris Pine (Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit). Clancy wrote a total of 16 Jack Ryan novels; since his death in 2013, 23 more Ryan-verse novels have been published by other authors, with two more — Defense Protocol and Line of Demarcation — expected in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
