Between parties, vacations, and family events, this season requires more outfit changes than the Eras tour. But that’s the easy part. The real challenge for me is finding a comfortable and flattering bra that won’t distract me from holiday cheer with its tight band or poking underwire. To find a solution, I tested 36 options this year and finally discovered styles I could wear all day, from my morning cocoa to evening canapes. Better yet, they're all on sale right now—up to a whopping 71 percent (!!) off—thanks to the many impressive Black Friday sales that kicked off today. So, you can bet I’m stocking up, and I suggest you do the same if you’re ready to leave behind uncomfortable bras as we enter the new year soon.

I’m typically a bralette girl, but I even discovered some strapless options and racerback styles that don’t squeeze and poke in the wrong places (something I thought was impossible!). Cosabella Soire Confidence Molded Bra

While the Cosabella molded bra looks and feels light, I found it surprisingly supportive for its lithe silhouette. The seamless underwire bra is undetectable under my thinner T-shirts, especially since I found the nude shade to match my skin tone perfectly. The delicate mesh fabric provides full coverage and is prettier than some of my expensive lingerie.

Maidenform Stay Put Strapless Bra

When the InStyle team tested strapless bras, the Maidenform Stay Put bra stood out as a clear winner. It provided lift and support, particularly smaller-chested testers, with just the right amount of padding. It’s unusual for a strapless bra to stay up all day, but this one never fell below the midsection thanks to the band’s tight but nonrestrictive grip.

Wacoal Basic Beauty Contour T-Shirt Bra

I’ve always considered T-shirt bras a little juvenile since they were one of the first bras I wore in middle school, yet the Wacoal Beauty Contour Bra makes this style feel so grown up. It subtly lifts the chest, pushing the girls together, and has a deeper V-neckline, making it ideal to wear under low-cut tops. Who knew the words T-shirt and sexy could be synonymous?

Hanes Originals Longline Bralette

When I want more coverage without the heavy feel of a sports bra, I reach for the Hanes bralette. Its 100-percent cotton construction is lightweight and breathable. Sure, I can technically work out in it, but I often wear it as a crop top with high-rise joggers for an elevated loungewear look.

B.tempt'd Racerback T-Shirt Bra

Thanks to its racerback straps that push East/West breasts forward, I discovered that the B.tempt’d T-shirt bra is an especially great choice for wide-set breasts. It also includes thoughtful design details, like super soft fabric (even the lace!), and gently hugs chests to support comfort all the way around.
