Inside Kristy and Desmond Scott's Lavish 10th Anniversary, Including Their Unique Twist on Cake (Exclusive)
From 'hyper-realistic cakes' to caricature drawings, the couple shares all the details of their anniversary party exclusively with PEOPLE
Kristy and Desmond Scott celebrated 10 years of marriage in glamorous style, surrounded by friends, family and plenty of flowers.
"The theme of the party was focused on floral elegance. Our guests felt like they were walking into a garden," Kristy, 29, and Desmond, 30, tell PEOPLE of their anniversary soirée in Houston earlier this month. "Our aim was to be elegant and timeless."
Every aspect of the special event represented a piece of their relationship, from the color scheme — which featured pops of their wedding color, burgundy red — to the dining menu curated by viral chef Desmond.
The content creator couple decided to go all-out for their milestone anniversary to show how far they've come since originally tying the knot when they were 19 and 20 years old.
"We were teenagers and hadn’t even developed any style preferences, so this was our chance to redo our wedding as the adults that we are now, celebrating the life we’ve built and journey thus far!" the parents of two explain. "This felt even more special than our wedding."
Over the years, the Scotts have established themselves on social media with a variety of content, sharing their lives as parents and partners, and keeping followers laughing through it all. The duo brought their signature sense of humor to the anniversary affair by hiring a caricature artist to prank their guests with less-than-flattering portraits.
"The artist focuses on emphasizing distinctive features in a playful way," the couple tells PEOPLE of the illustrator, a "fan favorite" of the night. "People were laughing the entire night at their embarrassing photos — not knowing they would be unpleasantly surprised by the outcome."
They got cheeky at the dessert table, too, serving guests "hyper-realistic cakes" instead of more typical sweet treats to follow dinner. Like the cakes shown in two of Kristy's recent Instagram Reels, the Scotts served cakes that resembled savory dishes like mashed potatoes, croquettes, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, rotisserie chicken, oysters and more, and at the end of the evening, guests were invited to take them home as party favors.
Despite all the elaborate decorations and festive details, the married influencers were happiest to spend quality time with their inner circle. They maintain that their "favorite part" of the evening was bringing together all the people who have "been a vital part in our journey."

After a decade spent building a family and a social media empire as a couple, the Scotts tell PEOPLE that the secret to their marriage's success is the endless support they give each other.
"We have been best friends since teenagers and that’s never changed. We focus on genuinely having fun, constantly laughing, keeping things light and spontaneous and finding humor in everyday life," the couple shares, adding, "10 years flew by, we’ve literally grown up together and navigated life together."
