It’s been a project in the works for the past three years, but it seems Chris Hemsworth’s Byron Bay house is getting closer to completion.
In fact, the 35-year-old actor has now shared a first look inside the $9 million home he’ll share with wife Elsa Pataky and their three young children.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the Thor actor revealed some of the beautiful artwork he’s chosen to display in his home.
“Had a big empty wall that needed some love and was beyond thankful to have one of my favourite artists @otishopecarey help out!” Chris wrote on his social media account, before going on to explain the story behind the artwork.
Chris recently estimated that the house will be ready in November, three years after work began in late 2016.
Earlier this month photos emerged of the construction in progress, revealing an all-white facade, dark grey swimming pool and are some green features including palms and other trees being built into the multi-storey home.
With six bedrooms, a gym, infinity pool, spa, media room and ocean views, according to the Daily Mail, it has just about everything you could dream of having in a house, however, it seems some of the locals haven’t taken a liking to it.
They previously compared Chris and Elsa’s mansion to a 'shopping centre'.
“Looks like the new Woolies,” one person said, whilst another complained about the “environmental footprint” the mansion was leaving.
Chris and Elsa relocated to Byron Bay in 2015. The couple love their lives in NSW and are often seen out and about soaking up the sun at the beach with their kids, India, seven, and five-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan.
