Identical twins TV interview almost looks like an optical illusion
Identical twins Brittany and Briana Deane married Jeremy and Josh Slater, who are also identical twins, at a double ceremony on Twins Day in Ohio last year.
And now, the two couples are planning on starting their respective families at the exact same time, they revealed in an interview with Today Extra.
“Oh my god it looks like we’ve put a mirror down the screen,” host David Campbell said when introducing the couples from Virginia. “It’s like an optical illusion for the people at home, but I promise you it’s not.”
And while you’d be forgiven for thinking you are looking at an optical illusion, both pairs of twins seriously do mirror themselves, even down to the way they each part their hair.
“Sometimes with mirror-image twins one twin might be left handed, one might be right handed, things are on the opposite side,” Brittany said. “Jeremy and Josh are actually also mirror-image twins.”
Their love of living a shared life didn’t end at the altar, with the couples moving in together after the wedding and now they also plan to ‘synchronise their pregnancies’.
“I think that is just something we would love to experience together, we have experienced most milestones of our lives together,” Briana told the show.
“Briana and I had always dreamed about marrying twin men and we found our double dose of prince charming,” Brittany said.
The girls met their husbands at Twins Days, a festival for multiples, which is held in a town called Twinsburg.
They married at the same festival a year after they met, holding a ‘Twice Upon a Time’ themed wedding, after the 34-year-old brothers proposed at the park where they had their first date.
