Many fans were left shocked when Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness announced they were splitting after 27 years together, and it seems as though even the experts couldn't have seen their divorce coming.
Speaking with 7Life, body language expert Louise Mahler claims that during the pair's final public appearances at the Met Gala and Wimbledon, there was "no giveaway" that something wasn't right between the pair.
"These are two people so well rehearsed at being with each other. They lean in together, they move in unison," the expert shared, noting that even during a moment where it appears as though Hugh is going to walk away, Deborra-Lee pulls him back and "he stops with no hesitation".
"There is no giveaway whatsoever... and remember, they are both actors. They are working as a team and showing total harmony," she added.
Louise speculated that Hugh may have left Deborra-Lee by this point, but still has a lot of love for her.
When it came to photos of the pair at Wimbledon, Louise told the publication she doesn't see anything out of the ordinary and while the pair doesn't look especially happy, they've had cameras on them for hours and were concentrated on what was happening in front of them.
"In fact, their arms are touching the full length," she said. "I would say they still love each other, but they’re deciding to go their separate ways."
Hugh and Deborra-Lee's 'gut-wrenching' divorce process
An insider has spilled to Us Weekly about the 'gut-wrenching' divorce process the pair is now forced to go through, saying that they’re planning on 'splitting their real estate down the middle'.
"Their lives were so interwoven, so it’s an extremely tricky and gut-wrenching process dividing everything up and figuring out who gets what in terms of assets and finances," the insider said.
When it comes to Hugh’s reported $180 million fortune the insider claims: "That’s what they need to work out.
"The [divorce] filing will be formalized in due course, but before that happens, their aim is to come to an agreement. They’re determined to [do this] as amicably as possible."
